Description
This issue only happens for system text and the splash screen. Once it arrives at the login screen everything displays normal (has a 1680×1050 resolution).

I never experienced this in Windows for this system, and I tried things in the BIOS and messed around with the LCD screen’s auto adjust feature and settings.

It has a NVIDIA GeForce 4 card in it.

Press the ‘auto adjust’ button on your monitor, usually fixes it for me. -bbrazil October 03, 2008, at 02:06 AM

As I’ve said, this was already done.

Pressing it made it just stay at the same spot after it adjusted.

That’s why I most likely think there is something incompatible within gNewSense for this video card (NVIDIA GeForce 4) as it didn’t happen for Windows.

As mentioned already as well, I also tried other screen adjustments and tried to seek for any solution in the BIOS.

Also note that when running the latest live CD this issue does not occur (but the loading screen resolution is much lower than).
