Description
As we move towards the release of Delta-H, we need to think about the best way to economically check licences.

MAIN is nearly 100% checked and it seems probable that when Delta-H is released, we will start the checking process, again.

I’m wondering whether it is possible to compare the Delta-H package licences to the ones we have already checked. Hopefully the _diff_ would really cut down the amount of work that has to be done, in the future.

I guess we could compare the old licence to the new, and split any diffs into the different package sections, for the adopter to look over.

Anyone got any ideas how we could do this?

Cheers,

Chris.

Two tools I’ve heard off: Fossology and “open source licence checker”. I want to look into the former, so it may be runable as an unofficial service. kgoetz
