Description
Many distros on many partitions here. all had been polite enough to ask before destroying my existing boot menu on hda. gNewSense forced a manual rebuild of the GRUB menu after installation

(okay, newbies may not have several distros anyway)

Resolution
This is actually an Ubiquity issue upstream. If there isn’t already a bug on it you’d probably be wise verify it and file one. We don’t touch any of their partitioning/grub install stuff. -bbrazil November 06, 2006, at 05:56 PM

Comments
add option during GRUB install to choose destination other than hda - especially if GRUB menu already exists!
